ABOUT

Our principal consultant has over 15 years of professional and volunteer experience, having served alongside and consulted for charitable and educational organizations of all sizes including nonprofits, faith-based organizations, universities, community development groups, social enterprises and school systems. This expertise has included a successful track record of having written or co-written over $27 million in funded state, federal, and foundation grant proposals and management of over $19 million dollars in funded grant programs. Her career expertise also includes a wide range of administrative, executive, development and communications functions from volunteer and program management, social media and branding, training and leadership development, to event planning, budget management, and strategic planning. With bachelor and master’s degrees in biblical studies and nonprofit leadership, her passion for serving others is filtered through a ministry and community lens with an aim of building and supporting programs that empower people to lead better lives and secure sustainable futures.

SERVICES

Consulting: Delivering one-on-one or group consulting sessions on topics such as, but not limited to, strategic planning, board development, team building, sustainability, leadership development, program development, startup support, IRS 501c3 application preparation, fundraising, volunteer and talent management, retreat and event planning, branding and communications, and project management. 

 

Grant Writing: Providing a range of grant writing services such as, but not limited to,  preparing cover letters, letters of intent, required agency forms, project narratives, budgets, and required attachments (e.g., resumes, letters of support, organization charts, and lists of board and staff). 

 

Communications: Creating communications such as, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, presentations, blogs, articles, social media content, white papers, annual reports, requests for proposals, fact sheets, transcriptions, website content, handbooks, branding guides, and fundraising campaigns.

 

Funding Research: Performing a targeted search for funding opportunities that align with the Client's service area, geography, and target population and creating a customized report and calendar with potential grant funding opportunities, eligibility, requirements, and deadlines. 

 

Proposal Reviews: Conducting a thorough read and review of the Client’s grant proposal and any supplementary documents and materials and providing feedback and suggestions for improvement regarding spelling, grammar, style, readability, content, and adherence to funder requirements.

 

Grant Training: Facilitating a grant writing training outlining the most common sections of grant proposals, the information they should include, where to find grant opportunities, an overview of what funders want to read, and how to form a grant writing team to support grant writing success. 

 

Speaking and Facilitation: Speaking to educational, nonprofit, faith-based and corporate audiences about topics such as, but not limited to, leadership, service, and creating sustainable impact in schools, communities and workplaces.
